Display at work

When designing symbols, I must consider how they look at different magnifications, whether they are legible, recognizable shape, etc. It is worth having a high resolution display that will at least bring me closer to real conditions. I do not have such a display, I have: 23", 1920x1080px, it's only 2MP, 95ppi. And this is a small resolution. Optimal for good graphics is 150ppi, but it is another rarely available price shelf. The main thing is that it displays a lot more colors from the AdobeRGB area from other popular displays. For that I love Eizo, that what the display is on reality.

From the actual work, these symbols are designed and previewed in the sizes of typographic points:

Even with such a small resolution, you can assess the readability of characters on a possible printout. At 16p the symbols are legible, 10p are already illegible but recognizable shape.
Using the higher resolution display, it could turn out that the 10p symbols are legible.

And by the way, this strange red is not a red rgb, but a Vermilion from the Copic palette. This is a Japanese manufacturer of markers, which boasts that its palette is comparable with Pantone. There are several hundred colors on offer, they are sold in sets and pieces. I have pallets from two sets, Copic Illustration, Copic Design:

They are very useful, because they largely reflect the colors useful in design, art, and appear in nature, most often used by artists. Almost reference colors. Of course, I have Pantone, and RGB. But I only use RGB rgb: 255,0,0 because it shamelessly red color like a red fireman.
